Khan V Mayweather Agreed

Brook's a good fighter, but let's not get carried away. Let's see him in there with a proper world class fighter and see where he's at.

Berto would probably be too much for him right now. Same with Ortiz, considering those would be his first fights away from home aswell. It's a really big step up.

He should fight someone like Malignaggi (as Ryan Rhodes said) or even Carlos Quintana. Anyone on that level really. They will test him but he should come through. Clottey would be a good opponent aswell.

Alternatively, he could go for Senchenko and his title, beat him, and he could have a couple of soft-ish defences considering there isn't much danger in fighting any of the top 15 WBA ranked Welters.

That would keep him busy for a year, and it should raise his profile to the point where he could fight Khan at Welter....if Khan moved up as expected.

As it stands, Khan won't take the fight and you can't blame him really as it's such a high risk - low reward fight at the minute. Would be a cracking fight aswell.

Eddie Hearn is looking to get him on the under card of the super 6 final in December.
He is also quoted as saying.
“If we can get a fight in Atlantic City on December 17 it would just be a “welcome to America” fight for Kell, but for the next big step early in 2012, which I'd like to be in the Sheffield Arena, it needs to be a big fight, and by that I mean a world title fight or a Paul Malignaggi, a Mike Jones or a Devon Alexander.”

I think any of those fights for Kell are winable.

Malignaggi would be the best bet for him as he'd share a common opponent with Khan. If he could better Khan's performance, it would most likely increase the hype for a Khan - Brook fight.

Malignaggi would be the easiest of the 3 aswell, and probably most lucrative.

I've always been impressed with Kell and from all accounts he is a decent lad outside of the ring.

What are peoples thoughts on John Murray getting a world title shot with Rios?

I hope he wins but don't think he will.
He shouldn't be getting one in all honesty. He won't beat Rios anyway. Too big for him.

It's mad how so many are praising Brook and how many criticize Khan. Khan is actually younger than Brook, look at how much more he's accomplished. Has Brook even fought a top 10 welter yet? I don't think so.

Khan will demolish him if they meet in the next 12 months.
You're flogging a dead horse mate. The irrational hate for Khan means that he's judged by different standards, which is unfortunate because he's a really exciting fighter and he'd fight anyone.

Murray doesnt deserve a shot. I am hearing from people that Kevin Mitchell is pissed with Warren if anyone deserved a shot at a World title it would of been Mitchell. He is pissed with Warren and rumours are when he contract runs out he will be looking for a new promotor.

As for Khan doing more than Brook. Yes he has been managed well by Warren. Since Warren signed Khan he got him a world title even when he shouldnt of been fighting for it. Kell was always second fiddle to other fighters while with Warren. First off Khan then it was Cleverly , Degale and the olympians no wonder he left Warren he was going stale under Warren. Since his move to Matchroom Eddie Hearn has got him regular fights. The step up for Khan to Welter will be a problem and Kell if he is champion could well be a option of a fight. Kell seems to think he has enough to beat Khan and it will be a tight fight and it wouldnt shock me if Kell beat Khan.

Its a bit like Calzaghe v Froch or Witter v Hatton you had Witter and Froch looking for a fight but the others avoided the fight. This is what I can see happening with Kell and Khan. Khan wont want to take on the fight.

You could argue that in hindsight he deserved his shot because he went out and won every single round against the champion. He was top 15 ranked and the fight was easy to make considering Warren had already had dealings with Kotelnik's team when he put on M'Baye - Kotelnik. Nothing too over the top about that. Happens all the time. Not sure why you feel he shouldn't have been in there. His performance proved otherwise.

As for Khan not wanting to fight Brook - sorry but that's a load of fiddlesticks. Khan would fight anybody. He took the Maidana fight when he didn't have to. He took the Judah fight when he could have easily took on a less dangerous opponent. He pressured Bradley (supposedly the main man at 140) into fighting him.

The reason why Calzaghe - Froch, and Hatton - Witter never happened was simple really. At the time, Calzaghe and Hatton were box office fighters. Froch and Witter were Friday Night Fight Night fighters. Why would they fight them? What would they gain? Why should they give a shit about gaining the respect of a few thousand hardcore fans when they can unify and earn more money by fighting somebody else?

It was a no-win situation. If Hatton beat Witter everyone would just say Witter was shit. Same for Calzaghe and Froch, and it would be the same if Khan faced and then beat Brook at this point in time. Brook needs a bit more exposure and he knows this himself. That's why he keeps mentioning Khan's name.

Ono Khan didnt deserve the Kotelnik fight. He was fighting at Lightweight and all of a sudden he moves up to Light Welterweight and in his first fight he gets a World title fight. It was Warrens money that got him the fight. He shouldnt of had a ranking in Light Welterweight division fair enough in the Lightweight division.

Last chance saloon for John Murray but I hope he shocks everyone, I fancy Kell to beat Khan and it would be a great fight.

Looking forward to Bellow/Cleverley and De Gale against the Polish kid this week should be a great bill.

Also looking forward to Quigg/Booth at the end of the month.

Another sign of Warrens money coming into play on both DeGale and Murray getting shots at European and World titles after both got beaten. The weekend card isnt bad. I had a run in with Bellew when McKenzie got robbed in there first fight he asked me to go down to the gym and say it to his face. So I hope Cleverley smashes the Scouse shit head. His gob got him the fight.

Quigg v Booth not a bad fight Booth is coming to his end. The winner of this fight might end up fighting Carl Frampton the stand out Super Bamtamweight I have seen from Ireland and UK for some time. Frampton if he stays focused has the tools to go to the top and I have been saying that a long time. Hopefully the Kiko Martinez fight gets made for the European title after the last fight got canceled late on.
