I always thought the Witter one was a different situation as well he was a bit shit and Hatton was getting mega pay days in America. Why would he come back and fight Witter in the Bradford leisure center when he could fight big names in Vegas. The Calzaghe and Froch one was interesting, would of been a great fight
They both would have been intriguing enough fights, but again, Froch, much like Witter was still fighting on Friday Night Fight Night's at Nottingham Ice Arena, when he started calling out Calzaghe.
Will never understand why it took TV so long to realise Froch was the real deal
It's mental isn't it. They showed his British title fights and his Commonwealth title fights, and then decided he wasn't worth the money.

Naz v Scott Harrison - Never understood why this was never made both were World Champions at the same time Harrison hated Naz and it would of been a huge fight in the UK at the time. .
Is this the Scott Harrison that didn't win a world title till after Naz retired? You taking the piss leighton?

I think Naz was making big paydays in America before Harrison even started boxing professionally.

Like you rick i hate both fighters, I used to at least respect Mayweathers ability and sportsmanship IN the ring until the fight a few weeks ago, that really disgusted me! I think Khan could give him a good fight and I actually think for once that i'll be cheering for Khan. Not sure if he could beat him but it'll be interesting.

Mate, i know i post 0.0000000000000000001 serious posts a day, but this is it. I can say from first hand experience that scott harrison was a formidable fighter. If the lad was a yank or a mexican, he'd have been fighting for millions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s instead of £1000's he was getting here. I can also tell you (again from first hand experience) that i have been attacked by them both and harrison hit harder more accurate and for longer.

Saying that, i can now contradict my last sentence by saying that although it would've been a hell of a fight, naseem would have probably stopped him when scott was opening up later in the fight.

Scott had a lot of underlying problems, that he just couldn't shake. It's a shame really as he could have been so much more......

In early 2002 Harrison won the WBO interim title which was upgraded to the full title. Naz came back after his loss to Barrera to fight some Spanish lad won the fight then within 2 weeks Harrison won the World title. I can recall Warren hoping to hold the fight in the UK at the end of year as both of those were his fighters and it would of been a huge money earner for both fighters. Naz retired at a young age and Harrison was at the time on a upward curve. This fight was always going to be Naz's next fight after the Spanish lad.

The last time Khan fought anyone good, a Cuban guy put him on his arse twice. Knocked him out.

They've been giving him easy fights his whole career.

Doesn't really matter how good Harrison was, or had the potential to be at the end of the day. Naz was a world renowned boxer, making huge paydays every time he fought. It made no sense for him to take that fight.

Here's an example of the casual fan I was referring to in an earlier post.

Scott was a world class fighter even back then. To say he wasnt is wrong on so many levels. That fight would of been a sell out anywhere in the UK at the time. Naz had no heart to continue on. Thats why in my view he wouldnt go down with the greats. He was good but once he got beaten he took his toys and went home. To think of the fights that Naz missed out because he hadnt got the heart to fight on. He could of boxed Morales and Marquez if he stayed on even if he moved up a weight he could of got in with Money Mayweather as well. Those fights would of made his legacy even better. I look at fighters who has boxed all the top names and lost to them all but there heart was never question if Naz had the heart of Wayne McCullough he would of been 1 of the best ever.

Scott was up there with the best of them during his time as World Champion. I remember his fight with McCullough he dominated Wayne that night. Wayne took 1 hell of a beating that it put him in hospital after it. Thats how good and strong Scott was back then. Its a right kick in the balls to see how Scott went in the latter years. Rumours are he is going to make a comeback I think being out of the ring so long it will be too much for him but if he is focused you just never know what will happen and how far he goes.

Has anyone noticed that Sky haven't
got the Bellow/Cleverley bill, does anyone know if it's on any other channel?

Its on Boxnation available on Sky platform free for the time being. It will then be £10 a month. Expect Warren to put on PPVs on top of the £10 fee within a year. I dont think it will survive it wont get enough subs and may well be gone within 2 years.
