Kiev crowd - shocker

Due to a critical structure change at work (and how many people have this kind of thing in the current climate, not just me I'm sure) we can't take hols at all in March or April so I just can't get there in time. Pulling a sickie wouldn't be very smart either.

If tickets had been £5 or £10 maybe would have taken a punt and then tried to make it to the ground to see at least half the match. Paying out £17.50 or more and unlikely to get there before quarter to seven, gutted to miss it but what a slap in the face. Been to every home game in Europe so far, been a bit of a special occasion each one with the different fans and so on.

Here the calls for City make a formal complaint but, I am sad to say, UEFA woudl not take one bit of notice. Maybe would even mark us down on the 'bad list'.

I live in Pembrokeshire (ex Stockport as a young lad) and only get to come up every now and then due to the 10 hour round trip plus family ties cost etc. I've took the day off work and have booked tickets for this game as it is on open sale therefore able to get tickets. Sounds like it will be poor turn out which is a shame, was really hoping for similar of Hamburg night.
Hopefully tonight's result and quality of game will result in a late high demand for tickets.

I think that the kick-off time is a bit of an issue because it's hard to say in advance whether you can get away early enough to make it or not .. I'm a seasoncard holder and I never miss any home game but for my part I ain't bought my ticket yet because I'm waiting on confirmation from daughters that they can both get time off before I purchase for me and them also. I guess that many others who intend to take family along for this one will be holding back for similar reasons but will book late and book extra over their usual allocation like me.
In any case, I don't know what all the focus on predicted attendance is all about because I'd turn up even if I were the only person in the stands . . and I'd still give my full support.

I've been saying for ages this will be under 20k and a record low gate for COMS

bearing in mind the fact that many many people cannot make a 6pm Thursday ko due to work the club should have set very low ticket prices

instead they have done the opposite and realising not many will be able to attend they have decided to get as much as possible from those who are going , hence the £22.50 a ticket

estimated gate about 16 000

It's a strange one. Ideal for the cheap deal, and they set a precedent with Hamburg. Maybe it has to be agreed with the oppo and it is in Kiev's interest to keep our crowd low?

Kiev are charging us £17.00 so our home tickets should have been no more than that (under a tenner imo)

it's not like the FA Cup where the FA impose a minimum ticket price nor do we have to agree a price with the opposition as each club keeps all their gate money

I'm waiting for tonights result before deciding to go or not

as finishing at 5.15 in Altrincham would be cutting time very short for me, but if it comes to it I'll just work my dinner break and finish at 4.30 if I can

No point doing it if we're 4-0 up or 4-0 down

if we can't get fans in for 8.05 kick off's the club
have no bloody chance for a 6pm kick off/

Should charge every one £5 to attend and pay on the night for those who might
just make it.
