King Charles has cancer

Cancer is a ****.

I’ve lost two siblings in the last five years. One to cancer and the other to relatively swift heart disease. It’s no contest.

I once found a girlfriend I truly loved dead on the floor, and that wasn’t nearly as traumatic as seeing my sister get the life sucked out of her by cancer. After what she was before that. Utterly tragic.

He’ll get the best treatment, but that’s no panacea. I don’t think Steve Jobs had limited avenues to explore, and look how and when he was taken. On the flip side, there are also miracle stories of survival.

Seriously don’t fancy it.

I got an ambulance to a private hospital last year. No blues and twos though. Wasn't in a fit state to ask at the time but it would appear Kettering wasn't an option.
Was in Wellingborough late December, but I thought I was going to be in Kettering. Otherwise I’d have given you a heads up the night before!

Then I had to get straight off afterwards. It was a Christmas job where I’d charged danger money (because I didn’t really want to do it) but then really got into it. Really interesting and a genuine chance to make a difference.

Anyway, I’ll PM you. Might be there on Thursday.

Kettering Not Wellingborough!

Sorry for your losses GDM.

That’s ok, mate. It’s life. Either you die, or the people you love die. They both had really good lives. And were really well loved. It’s just those last six months for my sister. What it did to her.

So that’s the only bit I’m really sad about. They were both such amazing siblings.

They both had absurdly different upbringings to me and my younger brother. Socially, I mean. Like ridiculously different. But we were all really close. My deceased brother was my best man. We all got along amazingly btw. All four ways.

And they both definitely made the world a better place. That‘s something to be glad about.
