Klopp odds tumbling

Something definitely feels different about the club and the manager. The question about conceding the title this season reminds me not of the Keegan “I’ll love it if we beat them” outburst but more his subsequent low key sound bites. Like the signing of Shearer which was greeted with a lot of positive hype but not by him. He was broken and didn’t know how or even if he wanted to try again. He really only continued out of a sense of loyalty and when he finally left he was clearly looking for a new challenge like England, city etc.

Taking aside his obvious grief and upset with the death of his mother (for which I feel for the guy and would like to offer my condolences) unless he feels like he can turn things around he’s not going to stay.

Sacking him would be distasteful (going back to the Newcastle story I always felt the sacking of local and national hero Bobby Robson in his twilight years was wrong for those reasons), so a “left by mutual consent” would be more palatable.

Not sure about the Klopp part but I really hope the part about Robertson getting twatted is true!
Allison is fast becoming my favourite non City player. I hope he panned Robertson who on the few occasions I’ve seen him play since he was crowned by the media as the best left back in Europe has regressed.
Not sure it is true though surely St Jordan of Henderson would have defused the situation with some eloquent well chosen words and healed any rift with a legendary team building speech to rival Al Pacino’s in Any given Sunday
