Klopp odds tumbling

Do people really bet on who the next manager will be? I am talking from the point of someone who has only been in a bookies once (a piss up weekend in Dublin) and placed a €1 bet picking 8 winning teams.
I have Talk Sport on in the car and the station is full of betting companies offering all kinds of odds on anything that moves (with their ridiculous please gamble responsibly catchphrase).
Are there really enough mugs out there spending their hard earned feeding these companies?
I've done it twice, but based on inside info both times (McDermott at Leeds and AVB at Porto)

From a pure football rivalry perspective......

Who gives a shit if he stays or goes anyway, despite being the bestest manager and having the greatest team ever we have beaten them to the prem title in what will probably be three out of four seasons.......and outdone them on other trophys, highest points, most goals, clean sheets etc etc etc.

With two cl finals and a pl/cl title he has been a success for them...........but lets face it, hes no Pep.

Of course. But they encourage betting by highlighting how some are waging. This usually has nothing to do with what is happening. Our horseshit with Howe and Rafa an example. I have no problem with people if they choose to fill the till of bookies, but, I know their betting has fuck all to do with reality. If it did, not a single coin would have been laid on Rafa. Or any other manager who us worth a fuck and linked with us.
They need to frame odds for outcomes on any event so that if the betting matches or near matches the total percentage each outcome accumulates to allowing for adjustments for odds throughout the lead up to the event they make a profit of the percentage over 1 multiplied the total bet taken.

A simple example is the toss of a coin random or fair coins would mean the probability of a head is 0.5 and likewise a tail.

However the bookies would frame a market where the probability of a head is say 0.7 and a tail 0.5 and if they received wagers in line with these probabilities they will make 20 cents profit for every dollar waged.

Look at what Denise Coates and Fred Done are worth and you have your answer

There is a big difference between respecting a massive personal loss and what we all think of him as a manager. As a manager, annoys me immensely, but sometimes you have to put football feelings behind personal loss. Football is not more more important than life or death--human respect for the fans, the players, the business and the local area as our owners have shown mean more . Hillsborough and Heysel are fine examples of support gone wrong . I just wish at some point the Scousers would stop blaming everyone, look at themselves, and act with some decency towards a good manager. Even Ancelotti got burgled recently. Thank heavens for Pep !!

They were falling off the rails the moment they lost to Watford and Athletico, the bubble burst. Obviously on a personal level I feel for him and anyone who doesn't is a right callous so and so. But Liverpools demise is to do with his managerial tactics nothing else.

it shows just how fickle liverpool fans and the media can be ? from champions league winners to champions of england and just over half of the new season gone and its not good enough ? people want him out because of the fear of missing out on champions league football ? fuck me

if we was ever thinking its not good enough by pep early season after only picking up the league cup last season
then it just goes to see how things can change in a instant ? if pep would ever needed to be told your sacked then football might as well stop because it not just about winning silverware or top 4

not a big fan of klopp but you would think after what he has done over the last 4 years at liverpool ? the sack would never be touted after 24 games of a new season after the title they won only 7 months ago ??

its crazy to think that a manager can have a bad 6 months and they are thinking of giving him the sack after bring the title back to liverpool after 30 odd years fuck me

thank God am a manchester city fan and knows what it feels like to win nothing season after season ? but glory is a poison and it makes fans change ? even at city we have new fans that think like that and hate losing and want answers on why pep did not pick this one or why change the team after winning

do i ever fear pep getting the sack at manchester city NOPE because he would know when to leave
he also would never fear the club and fans turning on him because we respect what pep has done
