Can’t even compound how you could cope with that loss, absolutely devastating for the parents,it’s just so heartbreaking .Just heard that 3 of the 4 little lads who drowned were brothers. The 4th (who has been named) didn’t even know them. He was just trying to help. Absolutely heartbreaking
2 young brothers and a cousin.Just heard that 3 of the 4 little lads who drowned were brothers. The 4th (who has been named) didn’t even know them. He was just trying to help. Absolutely heartbreaking
I have always lived near there and one thing I have never did when I was a youngster was walk on the lake when it iced over, not because I was a goody too shoes, far from it, I was a right tomboy but that I did not do. I know others did mind.As your aware my friend painswick park has the boating lake I along with others walked on it in the ice regularly in winter you do not realise the dangers at a young age, the 10 year old who died jumped in to try and help his friends it’s heartbreaking
Absolutely heartbreaking for their families and for the family of the other boy too. Yes, you can say what were they doing playing on an icy lake, but that’s all they were doing, “playing out”. How many children do that these days? It’s a terrible tragedy.2 young brothers and a cousin.
It's going to be a horrible Christmas for those 2 families.
Devastating and heartbreaking for those 3 families involved.
We moved into a new house when I was 7 and my brother was 5, it was right next to 2 lodges. We did all sorts of shit growing up, as kids do but it was absolutely drilled into us by our mum not to go on them when they froze over.
Even as an adult it's so easy to end up in trouble.
Hard balance to strike, you don’t want them growing up as worriers but you want to keep them safe more than anything. You have to be careful as a parent. I if anything have been over protective of my three lads, which brings its own problems.
