On the buffering side of things; it's likely just the streams you are using; perhaps an upgrade to the new 4k fire TV might improve the situation but I honestly doubt it; unless anyone else can say otherwise from experience :)

Yes bud, although I doubt the upgrade would fix buffering; I've never used the firestick though mate so I'm not too sure :)

I'm going to buy a Fire TV stick with voice remote control, and attempt to download your excellent Bluemoon build. Presumably once I have done this on my laptop (Windows 7 OS), I can then use it by plugging it in to one of my USB ports on my "Smart" TV to watch on the big screen. (I did say it was a stupid question)

Hey mate,
The firestick goes in the hdmi slot (not the USB slot)

The process is as follows; install Kodi or spmc on to the stick (using a laptop or android phone)

Then install the build inside Kodi or spmc mate; any other questions ask away bud; I don't mind :)

And to think I went to Specsavers not so long ago! Now I've looked at the picture in greater detail, It is indeed an HDMI connection. Doh!!

I'm going to Argos after dinner and start the process (same price as Amazon).

Hey all.

Thought id experiment whilst the shit are on.

Any HD streams do not work for me on Kodi or SPMC. They start perfect, last about 20 seconds and then start to buffer.

I have relied on castaway and had standard definition stream that eventually worked ok.

Any tips on getting the better quality streams working with minimal buffer, or is this just the way of things when lots of people are streaming?

It's most likely just bad luck mate, try Adrian sports and the alpha addons mate :)
