Kodi (Bluemoon Build)

So, I'm trying to put the Bluemoon build onto a friends android t8 quad core. Im downloading Kodi 16.1 as he was on 15.1. To cut a long story short, I've had to do a factory reset, but to install kodi, I have to type in the Google search bar for Kodi. Unfortunately the search is not working, either on the keyboard or the remote. I thought maybe it was to do with my Internet/ethernet, but both are fine. Anyone with sane advice? Thanks in advance :)

I had this problem on my old m8. Iirc it was down to the box thinking i was still inputting on keypad. Try the back key
and search again if you have to.

Tried but to no avail. If I type in for example the word Google, first option is Google, 2nd Google translate, third Google maps etc, if I hovver over using air remote and click on say Google translate, it does not even send the said words, to the top of the search engine. Maybe something is not set up right.

Can you just go to www.kodi.tv in internet browser or do you have google play store ?

Well even before I set it back to factory reset, all that was available, to use to search anything, was a picture of a 'magnifying glass with 'search' icon as my only option. I hope that makes sense. I click on the icon, it takes me there, but that's where my problem starts. There is no Google play store. I can't go too www.kodi.tv because anything I type I can't search, if that's what you meant. Sorry for any misunderstanding

NO You're fine. Do you not have the internet browser icon. Picture of the world ?
On your remote do you have a mouse icon on bottom right. If you do press this and you
will get an arrow so your remote behaves like a mouse. Try in this mode.
 
No picture of world icon. I have it I'm my T8 (this is a friends) No icon of mouse on remote either. I'm wondering if something is not set up Re keyboard or search in settings. Ah well, life will still go on. ;)
 
Kodi is fantastic on a firestick for tv shows etc.

Anyone wanting HD football, go for something higher.

Reverted back to p2p live football on my laptop.

I imagine higher machines will be sound.

Always get Aguero's build. Laptop or device. Fantastic build.

What is this ancient technology you speak of? ;)

No you wouldn't be able to get Kodi on that mate, it's only developed for windows, Mac, Linux and android really mate; you could always use an android phone :)
