Kolarov = another wait for a good city leftback

I agree with you in the sense that if Bobby trusts in him that I'm willing to for a bit longer, but honestly, he shoots far too often when there's better and easier passes on.

I have no problem with him shooting. Hes got a cracking left foot on him. evra shoots, bale shoots whats the problem. if we are 1-0 down with two mins left and tevez and dzeko infront of him and he shoots im gonna be pissed off but he shoots when the space opens up for him. like i say, u dont shoot u dont score. simple.

This is silly. I never said, he should NEVER shoot, nor should we NEVER shoot as a team. Of course he should and we should. When it's on. There are many times Kolarov shoots, when its not on. And its a waste.

Resorting to 'u dont shoot u dont score' adds nothing to this discussion. So should someone shoot from 50 yards, because to shoot equals the possibiltiy of scoring?

What has what he cost got to do with anything?

Is it your money? No? Then what he cost is irrelevent to the debate about his value as a player.

Would you play Jo ahead of Silva because he cost less?

Stop talking like we're a Sunderland or an Everton. The landscape has changed.

What? Your posts are getting worse. I dont disagree the landscape has changed, but does that mean there is no accountability or judgement anymore? Is it my money? What sort of fucking nothing point is that? No it's just my allegiance to City, and my right to acknowledge he is not a top left back and that Mancini has paid a price which doesnt reflect his ability.

Your posts aren't getting worse. They are remarkably consistent.

The 'is it your money' point is a valid one. We are no longer at the point where 5 million on Samaras is our transfer budget wasted on one dud. I suspect whether Kolarov cost 16million or 6 million is not of material importance to our owners, rather his contribution to the team. On that basis you quoting his price adds nothing to the debate. Is that simple enough for you?

Kolarov played well yesterday and until Johnson came on our attacking threat came from the left because of him.

The goal came from Kolos inability to carry out the simplistic of tasks once again. If you want a scapegoat pick him!

Evra doesn't shoot.
Bale's a left mid who consistently finds himself inside the box, he's very, very good at hitting the bottom corners.
The whole 'don't shoot, don't score' thing doesn't really wash, you can't just say that to defend poor shots.
You'd be happy with Hart shooting from goal-kicks, cus' he might score? Of course you wouldn't, you shoot from 35 yards when you're VERY confident you can hit the target, if Kolarov is still very confident he can then I'd suggest he needs a bit of a reality check, because he doesn't hit the target enough.
Don't get me wrong, as a team I don't think we shoot enough, but I'm not talking 35 yarders, more when Yaya's 18 yards out and tries an intricate pass etc.

It's simple enough to be concluded it's simple nonsense.

Because we have rich owners, doesn't mean we should just start to throw around arrogance, of it doesnt matter how much we pay for player, nor does it matter if he ends up being a top player or not. I'm ultimately basing my concerns of Kolarov and from watching him as a player. It is completely reasonable to also note, that 16 million pounds for a player who lacks pace in the PL and is always going to be problematic in that sense, and who has a license to waste possession by shooting when he deems it to be selfishly appropriate, not necessarily to the benefit of the team, is not justifiable.

Care to discuss the issue of his lack of pace?

Funny that eh !! ;)

Constant attacking threat?

He never once got to the by-line or in behind the defence to create a clear cut chance. He got forward, offered Barry a square pass, ran onto a few forward passes, and won a few corners

And put in one cross for Dzeko

Thats what really happened. In the real world

So what is your take on David silvas stray pass that led to the goal..or is it a "we will only be slagging Kolarov day today". ??

If you are going to criticise a City player then criticise silva.. the goal after all was his fault and not Kolarovs.

Or maybe it was Harts fault for not parrying the ball out of play or maybe the grass being too long.

It came of a Hart's rebound from an outside box shot with Kolarov ball watching & not covering Bent.

This forum is a shite place to be after we've lost, the kneejerkers are out in force. People have to realise that any other day and we're taking 3 points there. We had enough opportunities, they had the luck. Tevez's air shot 2 yards out in the 1st half, De Jong's shot in the 2nd half. Two chances which would've hit the back of the net on another day.

Shit happens. Let's concentrate on bouncing back against Notts County next week.
