He shoots too often and overall along with boateng has been a poor signing for the money. We have spent a shit load on full backs in the last 3 years and still dont have a top quality one on either side.

It's been a LONG time since we had a top left back at the club.
Bluemoon produces some ridiculous posts, but yesterday was quite sensationally ludicrous. Some people suggesting Kolarov had a good game. Fackin el.
Very poor defensively, and will score 1 out of every 20 of those long range shots he decides to take on every single time he has the ball in the final 3rd.

Look at Bale against Macion for example. That is what happened to Kolarov against Blackpool. But anyone should be able to see that he has great technique, good delivery, and good range of passing. He can tackle, and doesn't wilt towards the end of games. He is still adjusting to the pace and will therefore continue to improve.
It is clear that Bobby rates him highly, and I for one (although it is clear from this board I am not alone) would take his assesment of a footballer over yours all day every day.
In today's game, especially the PL, it is vital that your full backs have pace. I am not suggesting Kolarov doesnt posess any quality whatsoever. I am saying he is not a top left back. I actually agree with you about him improving. And you know my original post was a little provocative to weed out a few idiots who will come back with he was 'superb'. And those who wont have any amount of criticism against him because 'Bobby Manc' signed him.
The truth here is that whilst he will improve, I can see teams targetting him in particular as a weak part in our side defensively. Furthermore, I would prefer Mancini to have a word about the ill discipline in him 'shooting' from anywhere when he deems appropriate. Im not suggesting he never shoots at all, but when we are losing the game 1-0, and chasing it the longer the games goes on, frustration increases, anxiety increases, yet Kolarov was still trying silly long range shots, which really do then cause that 'chasing', 'frustration' and 'anxiety' to accelerate amongst other players on the team

we wouldn't have seen posts like these or threads like this if Carlos had hit home the most rudimentary of tap-ins, that went right between his legs, courtesy of a Kolarov corner.
This forum is dire when we lose.
Rags or morons are to blame. Unfortunately the rags don't have a monopoly on morons so you never can quite tell what's going onAndouble said:Millwallawayveteran1988 said:One cross yesterday when we had 4 players in the box was woeful.
