Kolarov = another wait for a good city leftback

Read the whole thread, and I must say the OP is an idiot, Kolarov was superb yesterday and will continue to improve over the season as he had been doing recently. No doubt the OP will be making the Kolarov Appreciation Society thread in a month or two.

He has enough pace, it's just a little bit of acceleration that is missing.
Watching yesterdays game, i believe he will be a top top left back for us, people will give him stick either way, thats just what people love to do!

People who are saying he didn't look like our man of the match or was brilliant in certain halfs, out of interest, who was your man of the match?

We haven't seen the best of him since he signed, but he had a good game yesterday and contributed a lot going forward.

Shit thread.

It's simple enough to be concluded it's simple nonsense.

Because we have rich owners, doesn't mean we should just start to throw around arrogance, of it doesnt matter how much we pay for player, nor does it matter if he ends up being a top player or not. I'm ultimately basing my concerns of Kolarov and from watching him as a player. It is completely reasonable to also note, that 16 million pounds for a player who lacks pace in the PL and is always going to be problematic in that sense, and who has a license to waste possession by shooting when he deems it to be selfishly appropriate, not necessarily to the benefit of the team, is not justifiable.

Care to discuss the issue of his lack of pace?

His lack of pace can be offset here if he was covering Or being tight with Bent. All of us has prior knowledge that Bent is a prowler & has a knack for rebound goals.
So Kolarov here is rightly being slagged for the Goal.

That goes without saying PACE is important in PL.

"So Kolarov here is rightly being slagged for the Goal".

And silva isnt or the two defenders that let young get a shot in arent or joe for not doing his job properly..

This forums need for scapegoats is so fucking cringeworthy sometimes..

Last night it was joe Hart today its AK...

I tell you all what lets see if city can go the next 200 games without conceding shall we..
we cant and never will stop conceding goals...it happens peeps ....live with it please.

Your posts aren't getting worse. They are remarkably consistent.

The 'is it your money' point is a valid one. We are no longer at the point where 5 million on Samaras is our transfer budget wasted on one dud. I suspect whether Kolarov cost 16million or 6 million is not of material importance to our owners, rather his contribution to the team. On that basis you quoting his price adds nothing to the debate. Is that simple enough for you?

The nature of being a full-back is such that you will get exposed from time to time. Wingers are, by their very nature among the fastest players on any team.

Look at Bale against Macion for example. That is what happened to Kolarov against Blackpool. But anyone should be able to see that he has great technique, good delivery, and good range of passing. He can tackle, and doesn't wilt towards the end of games. He is still adjusting to the pace and will therefore continue to improve.

It is clear that Bobby rates him highly, and I for one (although it is clear from this board I am not alone) would take his assesment of a footballer over yours all day every day.

'Superb'? Again, another example of the self deception city army

The wait goes on.

It's been a LONG time since we had a top left back at the club.

Bluemoon produces some ridiculous posts, but yesterday was quite sensationally ludicrous. Some people suggesting Kolarov had a good game. Fackin el.

Very poor defensively, and will score 1 out of every 20 of those long range shots he decides to take on every single time he has the ball in the final 3rd.
Come to the conclusion you must be a rag if you think kolarov had a bad game, idiot!

In your eyes, who was our best player yesterday?

Haha, here we go. Your opinion is not shared by the majority of members on this thread, and I have no problem with your opinion but lets not continually make the same post after post filled with pointless arguments, so please just let this thread die? Kthanksbye.
