Kolarov Leaving?

If Kolarov goes in the summer I think we as a club and fans need to take a look at ourselves. He has not had a chance to lay down roots, hasn't played a full season but people are so eaten up with themselves that they will discard him without a second thought because he isn't good enough for us, when did we become so uppity. There will always be bigger and better out there but lets give the players we have a chance first. Kolarov hasn't been that bad and scored the goal that gave us the chance to stay in Europe.
Maybe he hasn't settled as quickly as some would wish but who's to say with a bit of time and believe he will next season. People moan about the need for team spirit etc but in the same breathe are quite happy to get rid of Dzeko, Boateng, Kolarov before they have played a full season. If we start this practice of shipping players out in this way, it just screams new money and no class imo.

I agree.

I would like Coentrao. But i also want Kolarov to stay. After all..Mancini did say that he wants 2 players to every position. And we only have 1 left-back.

But honestly..who believes Kolarov will leave? They guy has played alot for us. And scored 3 goals. He isn't bad.

He might not be world class. But he is better than most left backs in prem.

And he has that amazing Kolarocket i like :D But he wont leave. Im sure. I think he is happy here.

The only player i definetly want to be sold in our current squad is Jo :)

We need to stop being so greedy. I know the standard is higher nowdays.

But we need to give the players time. I also think it would be fair to get another left back so Kolarov gets rest. And Zabba wouldn't have to play there. Because he is right-footed.

Kolarov isn't the best signing we made, but he's not as bad as everyone thinks. He has had 3 months less to settle than the other players because he was injured for that amount of time at the start of the season, and coming up against Aaron Lennon in your first game and getting injured must have scared the hell out of him.

I ask the people wanting Kolarov to go: what about Dzeko, Boateng and Milner? Do you want them to go because they've not had the best of starts here?

not settled in my arse. after hes settled in will he get an extra yard of pace and be able to use his right peg a bit ? no he wont. we paid too much for an average player yet again. get rid. imho he wont improve. 2nd best left back in the world my arse. hes not 2nd best in manchester.

An interrupted pre season and three months out with a major injury will affect his speed, I would expect improvement in that area.

too soon to judge,
first season, i dont think pace is the issue. I personally dont believe he is slower than pab zab.

He is not as sharp as he needs to be for this league ,.yet these things take time. He has got to get fitter, shed some weight..make no mistake he has a little fat however he has the wrong type of muscle. Almost like micah last year.

Patience ..my fellow fickle mob.
Had 2 more freekicks and a thunderbolt gone in and he would now be a fan favourite

'No slower than Pab Zab' I'd agree with that, hence why he also isn't good enough for a first choice berth in a title chasing side, however, where Zab is light years ahead of Kolarov is in his attitude, effort and bottle.

'The wrong type of muscle' what utter rubbish,he will have a genetic mixture of slow and fast fibre of which he can do nothing to change.I agree he could probably be fitter but even fixing that will not suddenly turn him into Usain Bolt.

Regards patience, will that supply him a pair of bollocks?

Man, just accept it...Kolarov isn't very fast. You either have it in your genes or you dont. Kolarov doesn't have it.

But there is slower full-backs for sure.

Also..you who said that Zabba is light years ahead of Kola in attitude etc.

Thats bollocks. Kolarov has a good attitude. Zabba might work a little bit more but that doesn't mean Kolarov doesn't. Because they both are very good persons.
