I think you've just listed pretty much every reason that any player is transferred.

Wheras with most other transfers, the player is totally happy where he is & the selling club doesn't want the money. They just do it for the hell of it..

But your getting a head of yourself, the above mentioned arent just normal transfers, name the last world class player to move except for wanting to.

A point that we have not signed a major player without any fight from opposing managers/teams, except for lescott and rsc. So did they clubs really want them there?

Err... Liverpool:

1) strapped for cash
2) terrible last season
3) not won anything in a few years
4) unlikely to win anything in the immediate future
5) thin squad and an overeliance on Torres which is damaging his fitness and leading him to have a poor world cup due to lack of rest.
