It will sadden me that it hasn't worked out for him here, I liked the lad despite the below par performances, I'll still remember him for that episode in the game when grown men decided to have a go at George Evans, Kolarov was having none of it, that's the type of attitude I want to see from all City players.
When? is there a link?

I don't know mate, think it was a pre-season game though, Evans put a tackle in and was surrounded by their players having a go at him, Kolarov ran up (the only one I seem to remember) and fucked them right off.
It was from a pre-season game. There is highlights from it on the website. Nothing particular really, george evans just put through a quite nasty challenge, and the opposit player from that team went into george face and kolarov just went between them

I remember that play, it was during the Austrian pre-season tour. I was like nice someone stood up for the youngster.

This would be a bad move IMO. He's worth way more than £6.5M on his passin/crossing and deadball ability alone. Kolarovs problem is that he has been fooled into believing he is a defender when he simply isn't. convert him to a winger however and we would see a different player. I would keep him and look to bring Helan into the mix (looked decent pre season) or just use Zaba as cover for left back, He's proven he can do a quality job there before...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120724/kolarov-poised-man-city-exit-177257" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... xit-177257</a>

"Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov is closing in on a return to Serie A as Inter Milan look to finalise a £6.2m deal for the left-back.

Kolarov, the Serbia international, has been the subject of much speculation in recent months after seeing his first-team place at the Etihad Stadium taken by Gael Clichy.

Juventus, the Serie A champions, have also been credited with holding an interest in the 26-year-old, but Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims Inter have won the race to secure his signature.

City boss Roberto Mancini signalled his intention to keep hold of Kolarov earlier this summer, but Inter are believed to be in advanced negotiations with City over the transfer of the defender."

Kolarov can be a great crosser, but he would still not be good enough for us on the wing. He did play a few times there last season, admittedly as a sub, but is still slow. You can't get by as a winger with that one trick if you're slow too.

Beckham disagrees.

Main difference for me is the rags worked really hard on creating space for their wide players to cross in advanced positions (still do), we never really did that to anywhere near the same degree with Kolarov.
