Kenwright won't do them any favours though, if they get circa £15mil for him then it's hardly a bargain for the scum.

I'd prefer us to go for a younger player like Shaw or Davies, either that or someone like Radu who can play both LCB and LB.

I have a feeling that Luke Shaw at Southampton in a couple of years time will be held in the same regard as Bale/Walcot/Oxley-Chamberlaine, I would love us to buy him. He's tall, strong, fast, and can defend plus he ticks the box of having come through an English Academy (we need 8 of them in the squad). Future England left back of that imo there is no doubt!!

Although those figures are pitiful when you consider what we paid for him it is still a good deal in my view. His book value is 60% lower after three years amortisation, he is a fringe player and he is on big wages.

He's a an ok, player and with someone pacy like Ferna to help him out he might look even better when called upon.
