FB is the most physically demanding position, if Clichy gets injured or suspended, then what?

He's a an ok, player and with someone pacy like Ferna to help him out he might look even better when called upon.

Yeh, Italian teams where he excelled because he isn't exposed by his flaws.

Note no other major teams in the other big leagues are looking at him.

If Clichy was unavailable I would move Zaba over to LB or play a young kid.

The total deal, assuming they actually buy him (City need to make this an obligation rather than an option) would be £7m. A huge loss but we overpaid for him in the first place and he was never worth much more than £7m-£10m. And if he wasn't on such stupid wages there would probably be more suitors. The Italian clubs can be cunts but they are willing to take high earners from us at least. Why do we never get the wealthy French, Russian or Ukrainian clubs coming in for our players like others do?
