Kolo Shout Out

Yeah, I was impressed by today's performance.

Probably more so as worried when I heard he was playing with the pace that Chelsea have available.

In last few games he is as fast as he was 2005.

Not really, there were a couple of times today when he got caught for pace, but instead of trying the chase he would re-establish his position. There was one point when I was screaming at him but he managed to get himself into a position that he covered two players, and then he won the ball and cleared it....

If someone is faster than you there's hardly much you can do :)

But he regained lot of his pace recently.

I thought Kolo had a great game too, along with other unexpected star performers Garcia, Rodwell & Nastasic.
Of course Yaya & Milner also did well, but less unexpected!

kolo has been outstanding for us since he signed, he just didnt have his form in a few games because he was suspended for 6 months, and than he spent most of the time on the bench. i definitely want kolo to stay, he is a much better all around defender than lescott,

Been excellent when played this season but unless he takes a huge pay cut he has to go in the summer.

Would love him to stay now - he's been great this season when called upon and will keep Yaya happy.

Needs to take a wage cut though for this to happen.

MOTM for me great performance, I agree he should be offered a year extension. But looking at the situation selfishly, I am just glad he is playing like this with Nasty next to him, it gives Kompany time to recover properly from his injury.

I have always liked Kolo, ever since he has been at City..

He had a lot of stick in the past on here and not sure why, his only dodgy spell was when Hughes was manager.

I think they should try and keep him for at least another year, it looks like Lescott will be going and so if Toure leaves they will need to sign 2 defenders..

Bonus too that he cam also play right back..

I thought Kolo did very well today, too.

And as someone has already said, he has played well every time he's played since he came back from ACoN (and some of the games before he went away).

As he's out of contract at the end of the season, I would imagine Kolo will have to take a pay-cut wherever he plays next term, and on today's performance, I would be happy to offer him a new one-year deal.

MOM for me today. He closed down great chances from them at least 4 or 5 times plus good headers to safety. His shorts have got a lot baggier over the last couple of months too. And I love singing the Yaya Kolo song

Heard his wages are pretty high. Other than that, I would love to keep him in the squad. Great personality to have around.

But it just seems he is searching for regular first team football.
