If we sign Toure then that will make us better- if you go off the arsenal forum on Sky they believe he is their best defender so they will be weakened.

Yes Arsen has 40 mill to spend but he has to replace what is lost and try to strenghen as well - thats if he gets the money to spend.

They may need two CDs and a new forward - suddenly they havea CB pairing that need to Gel same as us.

I think this is a winner all the way - I can't say that i see toure as a world class CB but he willcertainly strenghen us.

The general reaction from Gooners is 'he's been great for us but he's past his best'. Whether this is true remains to be seen, he certainly hasn't found his form of '06 in recent seasons, but he is still a top player and if anything can bring him back to his best a new start at City can.

I don't think Arsenal's finances are really a concern. Strengthening our squad to the best of our ability should be our main focus, that's what will allow us to win games. We need top CB's and Toure will be a great addition to the team. I think with the arrival of Lescott or another left footed CB our transfer business will be complete.

I agree, we give up possesion so easily and never really look comfortable on the ball at the back. Hopefully toure will imporve this, he pretty comfortable bringing it out himself and has been in wengers team for 6 years so should be able to pass.

Toure is comfortably better on the ball than any of our defenders.

totally agree, giving arsenal money to spend isnt our major concern at the minute. Filling our weak areas with top quality players is/should be our main priority. also lescott is exactly what is needed. a left footed cenre half is what we lack desperatly (although if we sign him nedum should NOT be included) as dunne contantly shifting the ball onto his right foot before he lumps if 50 yards up to bellamy/robbie/sweep obviously didnt work. not that im slaggin dunne as he is one of my altime favorite players and it will be a sad day for all us city fans if/when he leaves. would love to see him stay and be part of the city revolution and see us through to our first trophey in years but sadly i dont see ths happening if we make these two signings.
