Kolo Toure [Merged]

As I followed the Terry thread closely I would say that it appeared the fans were about four to one in favour of the signing. I belonged in the minority on that. On Toure I cant seem to work out the figures and we seem to be getting mixed signals also from the Arsenal fans posting on the Forum.

However, I think that this is an absolutely great signing. He ticks all the boxes for me. He can play, he is not too old, vastly experienced and a big improvement on what we have. The fee also seems about right.

Well done Mark Hughes and Gary Cook.

Cant believe some of the shit I am reading on here. Is Bluemoon just a meeting place for clueless schoolkids these days ???

Toure is quality, and a step up in class of any other defender at the club.

It's all a matter of opinion, who knows time may prove youto be a little less informed about the game as you seem to think you are.

or you for that matter!

Not at all.

I just don't know much about him
, and from what I gathered a few days ago there are quite a few who are "underwhelmed" by this signing...

So I'm not sure whether or not I should be too!

Although it is obvious that he'll improve the squad - whatever you so believe.
If you don't know much about football, why did you contribute to the message board?

Notice the use of him.

If I don't know the smallest details of one specific player's game, who (until a few hours ago) played for another club then (in you moronic opinion) that means that I "don't know much about football"?

Fuck off.

I'd like to think my quest to learn more about a new signing by raising a few interesting questions, have added more to the forum than you have with that pathetic little swipe.

My knowledge of football is akin to my penis - must larger and wider than yours.

I've never made any claims that I'm the most informed person in the world or that anyone who disagrees with me does so because they don't know anything about football.

My opinion on Toure may well prove to be misguided, that is true.

Toure`s a great signing and will be a huge asset to our squad. If we do get lescott aswell then we`ll be laughing,I still think Dunney has to stay though .

Definately, even if he's on the bench every week or even in the reserves some weeks - look at Portsmouths Linvoy Primus, he was their best defender when they first came up to the Prem and they bought in better quality and he could have gone to play for another club maybe in the Championship but he stayed! and did you see the reception he got from the Pompey fans when he came on as a sub in the last game of the season? i bet Dunney would love that kind of reception, and he can fill in for any injuries/suspensions/African Cup of Nations or play in the Cup games and still enjoy his football and be club captain!

As for Toure, he's got a big season ahead of him! his form over the last 2 years has been mixed for Arsenal! been in and out of the team playing in runs of games (dont forget Arsenal play at least 50 games a season every season and i think Toure has only played in 3/4's of them!) But he's a City player now, he's not at Arsenal and its a fresh start! all old form goes out of the window as everythings different - i hope he does well and gets his form back from his early Arsenal career!

Look, somewhere in this tripe someone mentioned something about Toure's agent mentioning other signings or hinting at more, could someone let me know what he said without adding 4 pages of moronic text.....Thanks in advance...
