Mancini had no choice with Lescott carrying a knock and Clichy not available, which I think is Mancini's point. I also think he'd like to see someone who can play the Barry role in Barry's absence other than Yaya, who is wasted there. Yeah, it's amazing how many people here don't look beyond what's immediately happening.
