He's got trainers on, not boots like the rest of them.

Boss just confirmed he's out for "at least" a month. Very worrying. Vinny had a bad spell with injuries while at Hamburg too.

I think they'll push on for Demichellis or Pepe now, maybe paying a little more than they'd have liked.

Vincent Kompany is set to be side-lined for at least four weeks after picking up a groin injury against Newcastle.
The skipper limped off after 71 minutes during the convincing 4-0 win against the Magpies on Monday night.
"I prefer the doctor has the final word on this but I think he will be out for at least one month," confirmed Manuel Pellegrini.
"If we do strengthen [at centre back] it will not just be because of Vincent Kompany’s injury. We have a very good squad and we see what happens.
"Today or tomorrow we will know exactly how long Vincent will be out for."

At Hamburg Vinny was known as `the glass man`. I hope this isn`t going to become a regular occurence. We should not be looking at cover for our centre half positions but buying the best. Regardless of squad strength, it is a real blow to lose certain players and Vincent is one of those players.
We already needed another centre back and this makes it even more imperative to get someone in. The club still needs to ensure that they buy the right person and do not buy just to make numbers up.
