We knew or should have known what we getting we bought him.
Great servant , good on and off the field when fit but was always going to be suspect as the speed of the game increased and its physicality.
A better version of Ledley King perhaps.
He knows his career is coming to an end , if you listened closely to his last interview all the signs were there.
New captain next year and a new beginning what more could Vinny want more for this club.
Sorry Eccles but you are wrong mate. I know Vinny is a legend and until the day he dies will be welcomed on the blue side of Manchester. However, it is delusional in the extreme to pretend that there is not a very very serious issue with his fitness at this stage. As you are well aware perhaps the best manager in world football will be arriving shortly to take up what is looking like his biggest challenge yet. I am sure he hopes that Vinny can sort out his injury problems and continue to lead us forwards. But he would be foolish at this stage not to be giving serious consideration to finding and grooming a new leader. It hurts I know but we must plan for the future and I am certain that the owners will bend over backwards to make sure Vincent is well looked after.Vincent Kompany IS Man City through & through & he deserves our support every step of the way (no pun intended). He will come back & he will show all the doubters that they were wrong to write him off.
Come on Vinnie, we support you. You are a legend & our Captain & we are here to support you.
This. For the life of me I cannot understand why our two most precious assets Kun and Vinny were risked last night.
Kiev were never going to get the goals, both should have been rested for Sunday and perhaps Silva too.
