Kompany injured again...

Seen a few reports today saying that this is the 14th time he's had this injury since he came to us,is that right?

6 games in 20 days is borderline stupid for somebody with so many injury issues, especially given he has only just returned from injury. Whilst it is true that the injury could easily have returned at the weekend (had he not played last night) it is also true that he really didn't need to be used last night, given the importance of the game at the weekend. We were never going to lose 3-0 at home to a poor team who haven't even played a competitive league match since before xmas.

We knew or should have known what we getting we bought him.

Great servant , good on and off the field when fit but was always going to be suspect as the speed of the game increased and its physicality.

A better version of Ledley King perhaps.

He knows his career is coming to an end , if you listened closely to his last interview all the signs were there.

New captain next year and a new beginning what more could Vinny want more for this club.

To be fair, his injury record was nowhere near as bad when we first bought him.

I really think there is something fundamentally wrong either with our training methods, physios or medical team or a combination of all of it. I don't think there is any other Premier League team that sustains that many injuries to key players so frequently?

Vincent Kompany IS Man City through & through & he deserves our support every step of the way (no pun intended). He will come back & he will show all the doubters that they were wrong to write him off.

Come on Vinnie, we support you. You are a legend & our Captain & we are here to support you.
Sorry Eccles but you are wrong mate. I know Vinny is a legend and until the day he dies will be welcomed on the blue side of Manchester. However, it is delusional in the extreme to pretend that there is not a very very serious issue with his fitness at this stage. As you are well aware perhaps the best manager in world football will be arriving shortly to take up what is looking like his biggest challenge yet. I am sure he hopes that Vinny can sort out his injury problems and continue to lead us forwards. But he would be foolish at this stage not to be giving serious consideration to finding and grooming a new leader. It hurts I know but we must plan for the future and I am certain that the owners will bend over backwards to make sure Vincent is well looked after.

Is there an operation he can have to sort this injury once and for all?

I can't believe he is the only athlete with this condition. Surely someone in USA could offer him the help he needs and then we give him the time to recover?

Like others on here have already written, I cannot imagine Pep will set up with Vinny in the side next season. I feel for the lad as we are so much better with him as captain leading the side. Hopefully this season is not his swansong.

For the life of me I cannot understand why our two most precious assets Kun and Vinny were risked last night.
Kiev were never going to get the goals, both should have been rested for Sunday and perhaps Silva too.

it was idiotic to play best team last night. silva, kompany and aguero should have been rested. It's not hindsight or anything, it's logical thing.
