He's become a burden with his injuries and Manuel clearly overrelies on him. For the past two years at least, our defensive plan has been "keep Komps fit". That is untenable. Move him on.I just find such a comment strange,very,very strange.

It's the fact some just write him off,having forgotten what he has done and how he comes across in all aspects,let's just wait and see we are a far better team with him than without,hopefully we can manage to get him back for the quarter final as we as sure as hell will be the better for it...Bit harsh mate. Nobody has said anything out of order or controversial,and everyone is allowed to speak what they think.
What you can't deny is that this is now a big problem. It's the same calf and something is clearly wrong with it.
Injuries like these have finished players careers, again something that can't be denied.
I hope to god it isn't, I think the best solution now is to leave him to a full rehab and he comes back at the start of next season. We take it from there, if he goes again then I'm afraid it's curtains.
The issue is the summer is your main transfer window. Demichelis will be going, so we will need to bring in another centre back.
Personally, I think a decision will be made before the window in respect of whether he stays or goes. We can't risk a full window not replacing him, for him to break down again at the start of next season.

Im certain nobody is forgetting what he has done. Really sad to see Vinny struggle like this. I was having a conversation with a bloke at work a few months back; does anyone reckon the recurring injuries are a psychological thing? Maybe a case of him not feeling completely 100% and believing that he's injured or unfit when he's actually in good physical condition?
Either way it is worrying to watch, just hope he can come back as soon as possible

Some right bell ends on here, he gives his everything for the Club and has worked his bollocks off to get back.
Keep going big man, hopefully a new medical team in the summer with Pep can give his career a real Indian summer.
