Kompany injured?

very surprised he was risked for this game , MDM has been in superb form , medical team need a right bollocking over this , vinny will probably miss all the xmas / new year games now.

In the next 4 weeks we have 5 games

Palace
West Brom
Burnley
Sunderland
Sheff Wed.

4 at home.

I think Mangala and MDM will do a job in those games but whether the latter can start all of them is debatable.

I am more concerned with our lack of striking options more than the loss of Vinny.

Jovetic needs to get fit and stay fit because without him as well as the other two we could struggle to score even in the easier games.

Get Vinny, kun and Dzeko fit for Everton if possible, if not then definitely Arsenal.

I would risk the FA cup this year play a team that doesn't risk any key players. If we go out then so be it. The two other trophies are the ones we should be looking at this year.

Something's amiss with the medical care our players are getting. How the fuck are we picking up so many non-impact injuries this last 3 or so seasons? It's getting ridiculous now. We're winning titles and cups despite our medical staff, not because of them.

I know what you mean but the fact remains, it is the same players...Kompany, Silva, Jovetic and Aguero which suggests it is more player related than medical team issues?
Which (sort of!) drives home the point. Everrone knows at this stage that those players are "fragile"; surely we should be looking at having a specialist training/medical regime for those lads. The fact that they keep getting the same types of injuries again and again suggests that they aren't getting the specialist care they need. Otherwise, why do they keep getting injured? Very frustrating. Wasn't there some staggering stat doing the rounds at the end of last season that our main players had spent a (relatively) tiny amount of time together on the pitch?

Wasn't Kun on some "special" training/medical regime anyway? I know what you mean but I still think unfortunately these players are just prone to the same sort of injuries, VK and Kun are both like heavyweights build-wise and are all power and pace which lends itself to the sort of injuries they keep picking up.
You're right about last season, our main players hardly played together all season....and we still won the league, hopefully the same this season mate.

How the hell can anyone or anything predict that Kompany would break down like that? The only thing we could've done is maybe take him off mid second half to protect him a little but knowing Vinny he would've convinced anyone he was fine.

Agreed Boyata will get game time.

Not sure on how Kun , Dzeko and Jovetic will be travelling come Jan 11 though.

We have to get a striker in Jan 1 for sure and certain.

To lose Kun , Dzeko , Jovetic and Vinny in such a short period of time and probably in all cases for the next five games at least is nothing short of a disaster.

Where does it say Jovetic is out the next five games?

MP said in his post match that Jovetic is out for the remainder of Dec at least.

I have no idea on the nature of his " muscle injury " , he didn't mention he would be missing for Leicester on Friday so what has gone wrong with him again I don't know either.

We know his injury record is poor to say the least and unfortunately while I think he can play an important part for us if fit we may have to look at replacing him over the summer if his injury record continues.

If not that then we have to work out why he and others continue to fall over and do something constructive to minimise it in future.

Our spine rarely spends any time together for a decent period and it puts unnecessary pressure on others.
