Players always want to play and sometimes they are not the best judge regarding their own condition because of that desire to play.
There was no need for him to play 90mins. We carry the can if anything goes wrong.
I seem to recall Mancini having an issue with the Belgium management and Vinny over him playing when he'd played
fuck all footbal with us due to injury. It's not unreasonable for the club to expect one of their prized assets is afforded a little
protection whilst away playing these meaningless matches. The club pays his wages after all.

I think Vinny takes more pride (and probably not much more) in playing for his country than city. Let him be the judge, he strikes me as someone who listens to his heart and medical teams around him.
