hearing tomorrow according to stuart brennan from twitter

our only hope was dean changing his mind after looking at it again, if there's a hearing - he hasn't

Thought we'd already established that the ref isn't involved in the appeals process?

exactly - if dean says he made a mistake it doesnt go to appeal, that would have happened today i'd have thought

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

If that's correct mike dean will have said he thinks its the right decision and they will back the referee.

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

City have sent a DVD with evidence and have to pay £1,500 to appeal. FArce!

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

If Gibson and Cole got off, why shouldn't Kompany. It's interpretation of the rules - not a clear mistake.

To an extent interpretation always means you will get inconsistency, but why always us? We are not a dirty team

Daily Mail adding deliberate pressure on FA claiming they have info it won't be rescinded and mentioning Souness and Redknapp backed Dean's decision.

However, no word about Schmeichel's and Hansen's thoughts.

If the FA feels pressure from the Mail then really the human race has no hope. I would be shocked if they even read it or cared what any other fucker thinks when they come to the decision of whether the ref was correct or not

They clearly do bow to media pressure when it suits, i.e an incident gets repeated on SSN all day. Plenty of examples of them ignoring offences.

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

If this is not over turned we might as well give up.

Kompany is not two footed, his leading foot is pointed down, he's got the ball, the opposing player in nowhere near the ball, and has already slipped (right foot).

To be fair to Dean he sees it once, and the angle he saw looks bad, but I'm sure he will have seen this picture since, and it will be over turned. Its not even a foul, and definitely not a booking.

If not over turned with this picture, defending in football is f**ked, its that simple.

They did it recently with Nzonzi, Carlton Cole and Gibson however.

I remember the Cole and Gibson ones, what was the Nzonzi red for?
For allegedly stamping on Cork... who'd just done a tackle rather like Vinny's!

(Of course, it was Clattenburg...)
