The club badge appears to feature on both of these, which indicate they might be legit, although I have just read a reference to these images showing them as 'under construction' so hopefully these aren't the final version!

My gripe is we should also celebrate our amazing pre-takeover history, why not statues for the likes of Eric Brook, Colin Bell, Francis Lee, Peter Doherty etc etc. Just seems a bit too soon as I said, especially considering our long history.

I think that, once you've announced a statue for Kompany, you kind of have no choice but to give one to Silva, because it's incredibly difficult to argue that VK is deserving but DS isn't.

Then once you've announced a statue for Kompany and Silva you have to give one to Agüero because again he's on a par with them both in terms of importance and contribution.

If Yaya had lasted a few more years and not called our manager a racist, we would doubtless be talking about four statues instead of three.

Once they decided to give Kompany one their hands were tied re. the other two, to snub them would've been out of order.
