What makes him great is for one, his consistency. Its like people saying Barry isn t that good but he so consistent...that there actually a reason he s always on the starting line up.

First off, he has improved and will improve under RM, second he is so focused and passionate about the club, we can definitely count on him. we gotta love him for that.
NO way are we getting ride of him cuz he represents are club, even without the Captain armband.
Probably the best defender in England right now!! Chelsea may have better center back (Cahill, Terry or Luiz) but out of those three, only Cahill is really consistent.
Kompany definitely Tops Ferdinand tho, the guy who was claimed to be the best defender is EPL for many years.
NO WAY WERE EVER LOOSING HIM. SO guys shut it, and support ur club. Stop trying to say that we need to change things, release players, buy players...We have a SUPERB squad. The reason we would not preform well next season would be because of the game organization, focus of players, management (RM still the best tho!)

Surprised by this, I remember Bridge and Lescott being terrible in those friendlies and getting dog's abuse but not Kompany. Hopefully in two years time somebody will be bumping a Savic thread

Ah the heady days when 'not good enough for where we want to go' was slapped upon every player who had a bad game/five mins in a pre-season friendly etc !!

If those knee-jerking flappers were in charge of our club Vince would have followed Zabba, Joelinho, Gaz Baz etc out the door in favour of some 'sexy' 30 million signing who would take time to bed in to the new team, have a bad game one day before being pilloried and sent packing only to be replaced by the next bright young thing, and so on and on and on ........
