Wouldn't be my 1st choice, but I love his attitude and commitment to the game, and it shows his quality when he can play in defence and midfield.

Plenty in the game question whether City will have the team spirit to get the most out of our undoubted quality, but the presence of experienced players with a very professional attitude make me more confident

if we can just sign 1 world class center half that would do you can get away with that look at the rags they play johnny evans he is really bad but put him alongside vidic or ferdinand he looks a quality center half in my opinion kompany is a decent squad player but thats it he had done it for me when he let rodwell skin him at coms to set up everton's second goal he had 3 or 4 chances to put him into to touch bring him down he does that it stays at 1-0 but he did'nt any top center half would have done it any way i would keep him he's still young enough to learn but looking at his body language last night he was 1 angry man somethink had got his back up before the match i think he could be on the way out of our club

I agree totally about your remark regarding the Everton scenario and i'm always constantly amazed at posters dissing Zab for taking a player out when a situation looks to be getting too moody (thats not to say he wont ever go out of sync but he does know to drop 'em before the penalty area). I don't think Vincent is offmans at all, he never looks Fonzy at the side of Kolo, which bizarrely enough is about how it panned out last night.

Three pre season games and we're writing off players already.

There was no real issue with Kompany last season, on one or two occasions he'd hang onto the ball too long but never in a situation which cost us a goal.

Add to that he's played in midfield during this pre season tour and the thread, imo, is complete fuckwittery.

haha
dunne last year now komps

kompany has been a steal and is a quality player with a lot to offer in both midfield and defence, if he went up for sale tomorrow for the £6mill we paid there would be no shortage of takers and i mean top clubs in europe and here.

lescott for me seams to be struggling but i am sure he will come good as the season moves on, for me at the moment kompany is still ahead of both lescott and toure for a starting berth come the spurs game

and as for talk of luiz how many have actually seen him play regularly for benfica, not one of us i bet, and the games that we saw him play he played left back, so maybe sometimes better the devil you know, as we found out early on last season when lescott came in for dunne
