agree kompany is not a top class player.
kolo was awesome, he is one of few players that had a great tournament. i think kolo and luiz would be a rock, and boateng and kolarov to the sides.

Three unproven premiership players could be rocko, but then again they would absolutely need to bob-on because Kompanys given the club plenty of top class performances and anything less than that from the unprovens is a -.

not good enough for where we want to go to. People will slate me because they want VK to thrive since he wasn't a big money signing and has a big heart, but at the end of the day he's not that great. Poor positioning sense and always loses concentration at vital moments.

It's not what people want to hear but I just call it as I see it.

In truth probably correct in reality there are a few in front of him - Onuah and in particular Lescott who has been pretty disasterous this pre season. The only thing that i have seen any though behind is the centre half pairings during these series of friendlies. We have tried all the different combinations and the best to me at least looks Toure and Boyotta - in fact i would say Boyotta has shone in front of Toure

Sometimes clubs have players that can do no wrong. Some clubs have players that get stick no matter what. Kompany comes into this cat and micah in the other.

As a season ticket holder this is my view. Vinnie switches off quite alot and can sometimes be very casual.His distribution can be woefull at times. He is a decent player but he needs to cut out the silly mistakes.

Agreed. He can pass brilliantly, but he's very casual sometimes, and he loses concentration too easily.

Having said that, he's sometimes very good. Needs a quality partner, imo neither Toure or Lescott are good enough.

I don`t rate Kompany nor Lescott , and I believe that Richards and Ned will be better than them.

I agree with the complete opposite of the above.

Boyata and Kolo have looked more solid than Lescott and Kompany. Kompany looks like a defensive mid playing CB in emergency mode. Lescott looks plain awful so far.
