So, a player has one bad game and you're calling for him to be taken out of our 25 for the season, when we were on about making him captain ahead of Kolo? I really do pity you if you think that Kompany is a poor player. Every player has a bad game. Surely you know that, being a blue?

We have much worse defenders at this club: Kolo, Bridge and Zabaleta to name a few. In fact, if we hadn't signed Boateng or Kolarov I'd say Vincent was the best defender at the club. He's a true professional and always makes me feel reassured when he's in our back 4 on weekends. Yeah, he might be clumsy but that's mainly due to inexperience with age: he's only 24!

Sometimes I forget how young he is because he plays the game so professionally.

Look no further than Bellamy and Bridge for who was to blame for the Spurs goal. Kompany is IMO our best centre half, his reading of the game is excellent and he's superb in the air but he is still prone to the odd lapse in concentration and his use of the ball at times can we a little wayward but he'll continue to improve and go on to be an excellent player for us

Anyone who can't see that he's our best centre-half is an idiot. Simple as that, but then these threads are started to get this sort of reaction, aren't they?
