They didn't pay £17m for him, and Swansea are a lot better standard than Reading.

Even if stories said that, it's a media guesstimate, you have to think the whole reason we'd go for players like this instead of the big names is to save a lot of money. And Begiristain knows how to deal with the Spanish clubs, most of whom are having financial problems (including Kondogbia's club Sevilla, who need to sell).
