Why ? Bill Gates gives millions to charity, mind you he makes billions. Brand beckham will now make millions in endorsements dwarfing his salary that he has 'given' away. He has merely played a media game and people are falling for it.

I don't like Bill Gates but he's giving away almost his entire fortune. His philanthropy extends far beyond this. Bill Gates will probably win a Nobel Prize before his life is out, and more power to him.
