Normally this thread is a bit critical of him as an attacker and I normally pop in to praise him for his defensive work.
But weirdly, his attacking game was better than it has been today. Not so much with the ball at his feet, but more so in his movement and proactive play. His defensive game though was not good enough. It's opposite's day!
Fortunately though, unlike with other players' threads people seem to be cutting him some slack and recognising it as a blip.
He is an enigmatic player. When he's rock solid in defence he seems to have little attacking edge; when he joins the attack his defensive capabilities become flakey.
