Said last week that he needed to offer more going forward, not expecting him to be like Mendy but more like Zabba in getting to the byline and crossing/pulling the ball back into dangerous areas. Done exactly that yesterday, very good performance even if ignoring that strike.

Looks like Walker is getting squeezed out of the England side.

Nominated for worlds best defender, part of the best defence in the country, PFA TOTY, part of the best side the country has ever seen, RB with the most assists in the league last season...

But I suppose when Gareth Southgate's gameplan is hope for a set piece, being behind the only competent set piece taker is going to be a problem.

I mean Walker isn't natural at RCB and feel Southgate prefers Trippier due to his crossing ability at RWB and set pieces as you say

As a city fan its disappointing but as an England fan im happy to see a 21 year old pushing into the first team...unfortunately that Gomez plays for the Dippers

A free kick and a couple of good corners seems to have fooled a lot of people into thinking Trippier is a great RB. He's not. He's decent, nothing special.

Seems to be going under the radar that he’s been bloody average as anything apart from the Newcastle game this season.
