Yeah "given them the opportunity" by ruthlessly swiping his legs from behind with zero intention of going for the ball resulting in one of the most obvious red cards you'll ever see. As if there was ever another option for a foul like that.the club, and the players , know UEFA are after us in any way they can, on or off the pitch. we have to be top notch at all times.

Not too worried, for the Lisbon game at least, if we have Cancelo and Zinchenko as fullbacks. Only worry is that if either of them are injured then we're going to be a bit stretched.Well he will be well relaxed for PL/FA Cup games at least.
Zinchenko needs to step up again but he did that last year in some CL games.
I thought it was a one match ban, which could be extended. To triple it is harsh, two would have been fair.Not sure why, but I had it in my head that violent conduct in the CL was a two game ban rather than three.
