Kyle Walker banned for 3 CL games | appeal rejected (pg 16)

Seems extremely harsh, even if it was a fucking stupid thing for him to do.

Completely deserved in my opinion.

It wasn’t in a tackle or owt, he just fucking booted the lad for no reason whatsoever. It was violent conduct and red card in the 70s that.

You’d hope he’d learn from this but he’s 31 as it is and should know fucking better.

I really like Walker, he’s arguably the best right back in the world and is arguably our most consistent player in Pep’s tenure. But that was pure stupidity and a fully deserved three game ban for me.

Fuck Uefa!!

It was assault. If you do that to someone in the street, it’s assault. Booting someone is every bit as bad as punching or headbutting someone. Your hardest punch is nowhere near as powerful as a kick.

You can let the mistimed, unfortunately late tackles go because sometimes that’s just someone being quicker to the ball… looks terrible sometimes because it looks like players have been sythed down, but most of the time players are going for the ball and it’s part of football. Booting someone for no reason isn’t part of football.

2 game Ban Would’ve been acceptable for the stupid act which he did but three match ban I’ll punch him in the face and got less fucking UEFA hate the twats

Can’t say we’ve got much to complain about tbh.

Walker has enough credit in the bank but it was a brain dead moment from him, especially knowing Uefa are looking for any excuse to try and fuck us.

Just need to suck it up and move on.

Cancelo at RB and Zinchenko at LB are more than capable of getting us through it.

That's more than fair, it was fucking moronic and he's hampered his entire team. Unavailable for sporting (which we should manage fine but it could have been atletico) and the first game of the quarters should we progress. I hope he the got maximum possible internal fine for it. Anybody that doesn't think its entirely deserved has no business watching football.
Whhoooaaa easy fella

I can't even remember it, it was that long ago. Nice to see the footballing authorities being their usual efficient selves.

I still can't believe he did that. Cancelo at RB and Zinchenko at LB then, I assume.
i.e.

So we go from a world class left back and world class right back, to

A rank average right back, plus a rank average midfield player standing in as pretty poor left back. Marvellous.

we do lose both defence recovery and attacking down the right when walkers out.
its silly on walkers part and for me it shows one or two are we still struggling with mental block that is needed in the BIG games. walker should not be one of them and why let the other guy get to him to force a reaction is daft ?
but we have to face many stumbling blocks and its a chance for somebody to shine

Cancelo can be a match winner and has a very good touch and pass. but Zinchenko does not get enough game time and his defending is poor at times. but we get behind the lads and sings theme home with great support

Zinchenko is not the best lb in the world and he struggles against pace, but he was more than ok against PSG last season.
