Kyle Walker newspaper story

Can't be arsed going through whole thread but what I hear is walker was out getting pissed and pulled his pants down in a pub and did the helicopter? That happens every weekend in my town from some drunk idiot. Is it a big deal?

I watched the video a few times. Looked a bit tragic TBH. Far from being a sexual predator, he was paraded around like a circus freak. Someone in a City tracksuit was an instigator at one point (Laporte?) "Let's all get the drunken, black man's, big knob out, and have a good laugh at it." That is the general vibe I was getting.

We live in a warped and messed up time, where a persons reaction to something is more important than the subject matter itself. People make up their minds on something, based on the other comments below. Some people don’t even read the original story or statement, they go straight to the groundswell of reaction and formulate their opinions from that.

This pattern of behaviour has gradually edged its way into our psyche over a long and sustained period of time, so that we don’t even notice it. This is a construct that was designed by twitter execs, so that Billionaires could make more money. This heightened state of reaction that exists in the world online, is a manmade creation to generate more tweets. It has spread to everything now. There are model railway enthusiasts tearing each other apart on facebook. Why, because the algorithm of these platforms are secretly pushing people, with fundamentally differing views, into a boxing ring, the more we fight each other, the more hits, clicks, tweets, retweets they get. And the people watching are encouraged to goad them into it. “DIS GONNA BE GOOD” and popcorn cat memes.

This thread is a prime example of the state we are currently in.

Where did you see the video?

Nobody knows , having to put you on ignore now as you have a hundred posts in here defending walker and repeating yourself , shouting everyone down , fill your boots
When City fans start likening a pissed up Kyle Walker flashing to two female friends to the killer rapist Wayne Couzens, I'll defend our club & players to the hilt.

Was Walker a plank for behaving as he did? Yes

Does he deserve to be charged, jailed, sacked by City & placed on the sex offenders register for life as some are suggesting? Do me a favour...

If people are showing this level of hyperbole over Walker, then how do they react to serious sexual assaults?

We have to remain proportional in our responses & some which I've seen on this thread are frankly shocking.

As a few have alluded to, there seems to be more to this reaction than merely Kyle Walker being a pissed up plank who should've known better, but a sexual predator who should be on the sex offenders register, he is not in my humble opinion... )(
