Considering you paid 24m for Lescott at his peak quite a few years back and prices are only going up you know you're way off the mark

We overpaid for Lescott. Again in England both Manchester teams have a penchant for overpaying. This is not the market. Its an inflated market created strictly by the 2 Manchester clubs. 90% of overpaid players were done by one of either us or the rags.

Lescott was a gross overpayment. No one else anywhere in the world would have paid what we paid. And had we tried to sell Lescott no one would have paid more than 15 mi lion for him. If we try to sell Stones today, no team would pay more than 25 for him. If the rags tried to sell Shaw, no one would pay more that 15 for him.

That tells us what they are truly worth. Not the exorbitant amount we or the rags paid.

I'd respectfully disagree with these statements. Lescott played an integral part in turning our club into title winners which set us on the path to where we are now. He was worth every penny we paid for him.

That no-one else would have paid that is neither here nor there. He was exactly what we needed at the time.

Walker is better than Jordan Henderson? Are you serious? Smalling? Yeah, he is better than Livermore but no one is paying 25 million for Livermore.

Strike that, no one with common sense should. Henderson and Smalling are better players or play more important roles. Henderson is flat out better. Smalling is arguable. But he plays a more important role. But you are right. I'd expect to pay about 25 mil for Smalling too. Just like Walker.

Henderson is bang average, and smalling had one good season. Walker is definitely
Better than either. I would also disagree that their position are more important, the full back position is fast becoming one of the most important positions in the game.
