The positive is he improves a position that has been holding us back for nearly three years. The negative is pretty much any right back playing football in the world right now would do the same, probably cost less and wouldn't have a face I'd never tire of punching. Ahh well.

Haha! He's English too, and I do think we need a strong core of English players. Like you say the RB area has been a problem position for years. Walker is massive coup if we pull it off.

This, very much.

It is starting to look very much as if this is happening. I've always hated watching him play. But he is better than what we have currently. Not, imo, better than what we used to have.

Warming to the idea of bringing Walker in. One thing we've lacked is real pace at RB for the past 4/5 years. He's lightning quick and could cover back on counters. It'd also give us width and allow our wide players to get in the box. Sterling and Sane could switch flanks so they can cut inside and become more of a goal threat.

Only downsides are he's a prick and looks like a human mushroom.

Yes he's a prick. Truth is that once he arrives he becomes our prick and it becomes everyone else's problem but ours. Plus it means we'll likely own 4 of England's starting XI for next season. And £35m isn't a bad price at all. He has a good five years left in him.

At 35milion for a player who already knows the prem inside out and has the kind of pace that puts the fear of god into the opposition makes perfect sense to me. Throw in mendy on the otherside doubled up with sane and sterling looks even better. Pace Pace Pace

£35m is a bit more of a realistic price, but still there is a lot of room for improvement even at Walker's age and experience of the Premier League,

That's a harsh standard to hold any incoming full back to - Zaba in his prime was top 3 in the world material. :)

With you on that. I can't stand the c**t. Still remember him taking the piss out of our support after that 3-2 game when Mario scored a last minute pen.

Will be made even worse when Levy pulls Txixi's pants down and extracts £5Om from us for him!!

If we do sign him, I'll just focus on the blue shirt rather than who's wearing it.
