Kyle Walker

Been a great servant but it looks like his skillset is now different to what Pep wants from his fullbacks.

I reckon Pep wants him to stay because he clearly offers the kind of pace that borders on incomparable. However, we have an updated tactical apporach that means he is not part of the first choice back four / three.

Walker is, like Bernardo in a way - a bit of a one of a kind who we will really struggle to replace..

People talk about pace a lot of the time and most of the time its bollocks BUT in walkers case his pace has been a huge asset to the way we defend......he has helped combat the potential breakaways from the likes of Mbappe, Vinicius Jnr and various others in the prem league as well.....

As much as I loved the system that Pep came up with last year invovling Stones there, it still leaves us very vulnerable against teams that sit in and play on the break (the rags for instance)

Id much prefer if Walker stays and think he could be at the top for another 2-3 years but Id understand if he felt the need for a change as well.

Losing Walker and Gundo, with potentially Bernardo as well leaves us a lot weaker than last season.

Gvardiol replaces Mendy, Cancello and potentially Laporte as well

Kovacic is a lesser Gundo

But Walker and Bernardo leaving leaves us well short (if it happens)

Maybe Pep and txix really believe in Rico Lewis and McAtee (McAtee looks like a real prospect to me) but there is a hug drop off in experience, leadership, personality and initially ability

Used the German Sky Sports as a source. Nevertheless, assuming this is fake, we still have lots of other sources reporting this is for real and will be resolved within the next 48 hours or so.
I normally have nothing against you posting somewhat questionable sources from twitter in this forum, its just fun to speculate! But what do you mean with "assuming its fake", like if there is even a small chance it could not be fake? The twitter account is evidently 100% fake, there is no question about it whatsoever. Just because some random on twitter said the German Sky Sports is his "source" it doesn't mean German Sky really said it. Especially and certainly not when the random in question is already impersonating someone else, has "spursofficial" and a heart emoji in his bio and is an obvious troll thats only doing it to get a laugh out of fooling gullible fans naive enough to believe anything they read online. I can with a 100% certainty say you wont find any article, tweet or clip of the German Sky Sports saying this anywhere at this moment in time, and thats without even looking it up.

With that said, the deal could obviously still be done.

Apologies, I worded it badly. As in, the Twitter source is fake, but at the same time, I was wondering if Sky Sports Germany did say something. I personally have no clue, but I know some on here follow different sources. People here also seem to have some knowledge regarding the reliability of different Twitter accounts, but I don't, so it helps me distinguish fact from fiction. I don't use Twitter outside of transfer rumours this season since there are no reports otherwise ;).

Apparently, Mahrez has been aware of the offer for well over a month, and it's still unclear whether he is interested. I wonder how likely it is...

We dont need it if it is fake

Yeah, I didn't know it's a fake to begin with, but it's been pointed out to me already ;). It seems that there are a lot of people out there pretending to be Romano, Plettenberg, etc.

I would prefer if Kyle stays but if not then this is at least a reasonable deal. Can't believe some posters thought it was a brilliant idea to offer Bayern Kyle plus 15m all because Pavard was younger. Sometimes the things posted here can drive you insane.
You believe @pointylaserboi? And yet we are the crazy ones. Shine on baby!
