Hate to say it, but his injury record over the last two seasons isn't great, we've had times when we haven't had a fit striker, if not Mbappe we need another striker to spread the load, prolong Sergio's career.

our planning regarding strikers seems to lack attention, Sergio getting on a bit and injury prone, Jesus not yet lived up to expectation and also injury prone. At the age of 19, Mbappe would be and amazing addition. One can dream I suppose.

Jesus not lived up to expectations? His stats are more than comparable to Kylians' this season yet in a more competitive league with Jesus playing around 1000 less minutes. He's a very good player but the wankfest going on right now over Mbappe (& doing it by trying to put down some of our own gifted youngsters) is vomit inducing.

Good performance today but it also highlighted why he would not play well for us. He is far better as a counter attacking forward and would not help us break teams down. Would suit teams like Chelsea, Altetico and even United a lot more than us.

Definitely not having a go at our young players including Jesus, but we need to strengthen in that department, I won't sell Jesus, but imagine our future with a 19 year old Mbappe in the squad, and the statement it would make when we would be adding one of the most gifted players around.
