Further I try not to get sucked into that best in the world bollocks. It can't be taken seriously when it's often dominated by goal scorers or midfielders. For us if we where to get him as I understood his wages would be around 250K and would be on par with the likes of KDB, Aguero, Silva etc.
We pay our highly rated youngsters such as Sane, B.Silva, Jesus quite a bit less and so giving Mpabbe that money could well have caused unrest.
In retrospect he would have been worth it and I wish we had. However, I understand the decision the club made.
