With the greatest respect to Sam, I've been posting on here a lot longer than he has been at Goal.

Plus Sam Lee is follower of the dark side, though like Stuart Brennan he's very professional and hasn't allowed this drawback impair his reporting.

I don't like it, but Sergio has certainly intimated to people that he thinks he might be off, but that was back in mid-May, and things do change all the time.

He's on the wane, no doubt about it, but he's hardly chopped liver.

Personally, I would sign Mbappe and leave him at Monaco for another season and have Sanchez, Aguero and Jesus as our main guys this season.

Sergio deserves his own Zabba moment.

Do you reckon? After the Alves deal collapsed Sam Lee was tweeting that the knock on effect to the rest of our deals this summer would be quite significant and we were going to have to reallocate funds earmarked for other players (it all sounded a bit over the top to me to be honest). Tolm on the other hand is saying we'd buy both Sanchez and Mbappe if we could.

We would if we could but I doubt we can. If those two did arrive Kun would have to be sold to somehow balance the books.
My guess is no Mbappe off to RM with Bale to Rags, Sanchez in if the Gooners get Lemar or similar and Kun stays for another season at least.
An experienced head at the back short-term and we are good to go. If we get a fair wind in terms of luck we should have enough.

That'd be my ideal situation too and I think the only way we can get our hands on Mbappe tbh.

Read the last five pages. Work out you're repeating old news and that ric believes there's still substance to the talks between City and Monaco.

When it was reported that Madrid had agreed a fee Mbappe, Monaco came out and said they have received no bid for him.

They've not said anything about our supposed bid yet, so either we have or we haven't.

Dunno who the fuck to believe.

Those were the days. It always seemed to be we were after an international striker for a record transfer fee.

Technically, he isn't lying, bud.

City won't willingly sell Sergio.

Entirely different matter if Kun came and asked to leave due to us signing two new strikers.

In suppose there is also an argument that you don't reveal your hand to the likes of Monaco and Arsenal by saying we are going to need to replace our best striker.

That also goes for any club wishing to buy Aguero and thinking they could get him on the cheap.

Personally, if we can afford it, we keep him for another season and he chips in with Sanchez and Mbappe.

One thing for certain we need someone just as good as Aguero coming in within the next 2 years ams Mbappe is the best out there at the moment of course we are interested.
