With every game, he makes it harder to the "he is all hype" guys to make their argument[ :)

I can't us affording him considering the other areas of the team that need sorting out.

Monaco will easily get £100m for this lad.

it'll be tough to sign him, literally every top club in Europe will be trying .

Leading french goalscorers in the champions league KO rounds.

For reference, Agüero has scored 4 in 13.

I think it's an absolute travesty Aguero has only played in 13 KO stage games in his career by the way, and 2 of them for Atletico...

Fair play to the lad, but he is still just 18 and he will have every top agent in world football trying to sign him up this summer on top of every top club offering lots of great packages which will no doubt include ridiculous wages.

The pressure on him next season will be immense if he moves.

Let's hope it doesn't derail him.

With every game he's improving as well. He's become aware of the extra attention he's getting and is using it to the teams benefit. For Monaco's second goal today, when Mendy plays the ball into Mbappé's feet he draws 4 Dortmund players towards him and Falcao is left 1v1 when the cross comes in.

The confidence is growing too, now he's celebrating and getting all cocky, acting like he owns the place, and isn't just a kid getting a chance.

I think there's been a lot of pressure on him already with the hype and the universal "he's going to be a superstar" acclaim he's gotten all season, plus Monaco have turned down some huge offers so he knows people think he's worth insane amounts and is still playing well despite that.

agreed! at some point we have to show our financial power and it seems that this kid is the real deal! possibly a once in a generation player even?

Watching him last night, you can't help but feel we're seeing a once in a generation type player. I appreciate that a lot of people feel like it's a case of 'shiny new kid' syndrome, but it really isn't. IMO we're seeing a phenomenon who'll go on to be talked about like the Brazilian Ronaldo. He's that kind of all round forward.

The big question is can we out move Real Madrid. Will be an interesting summer. The more he scores in the CL, the more expensive he'll be.

might we have struck a deal with real where Sergio goes there and they don't go for mbappe mate?

If we've already been back in with £80m then I imagine we'll do about almost anything we can to get him this summer.

We'd have an unbelievable forward line for at least 5+ seasons (if they all stuck around) with him, Sterling, Jesus and Sane.

His body doesn't have Ronaldo's abilities and never will, but his brain is surely on that level. He looks more mature and tactically developed than Messi and R9 at the same age, reactions and anticipation are almost insect-like if you get what I mean.
He's already reached Henry's level being only 18, can't even imagine what his ceiling will be. I feel his future will be decided this summer. Staying for a year, then moving to Madrid is the most likely outcome I'm afraid.
