It's widely reported that Madrid are trying to get Dembele sooner than Barca, they have a special transfer agreement with BvB (basically a first option for their players). Maybe we've reached some sort of anti-Barca agreement with Real and are sharing the French duo between us?Neither did I lol

City - Sanchez
Madrid - Mbappe
Barcelona - Dembele

I don't think it's accidental that we haven't bought a centre back as we're saving the pennies in the hope we can get Mbappe. If Mbappe is determined to leave we probably have best chance of getting him outside of Real and Barca.
What's in our favour is the ridiculous additional cost to both Barca and Real in signing him. No doubt with all the PSG Neymar nonsense Real are probably lobbying the Spanish government to ensure Monaco is no longer designated a tax haven.
On the plus side we have to be getting some encouragement as otherwise we would be briefing like hell that we're not keen so...

Could get us tangled up in the current Qatar/PSG outrage though, not sure that would be a great move for the club.
Would serve us well to get Fernando, Delph, Mangala, Bony, Nasri shipped off and announced quickly so that there's at least the sense of "well they did sell all those players..." behind it.
I know a lot of people don't care about that stuff, and I don't really care about other fans or social media, but the old boys club will be wound up in a way they haven't been since FFP came in, and we don't want to create some new era FFP designed to properly fuck us and PSG up while allowing the Milanese clubs to spend whatever they want.

Funny thing is all the articles about Mbappe mention Madrid, Barcelona and PSG as potential clubs. I even saw united mentioned in one article on sky, City is never mentioned.

I think Monaco will act professionally though. Half if not most of the fracas is coming from Barca/La Liga end.

The Bale thing is a ready made excuse when he rocks up in blue :) I'm more confident of this than Sanchez to be honest, both are outside shots but we could get this done with Monaco willing to sell and an agreement already in place with the player.
