Labour / Tory Party meltdown Referendum fallout

The potential implosions of both tories and labour are worrying. The end of left/right politics creating a worrying vacuum for potential extreme groups to take over.

Indeed . We could be under the jackboot of Tim Fallon any day now.

Fallon defaulted to the usual lib dem position of promising whatever he thinks will get votes while ignoring reality. A luxury only the unelectable can afford. The twat has not even represented the views of his own constituency as he is more concerned with his own career.

Not any more. The Fixed Term Parliament Act means that parliaments run for a full five year term unless there's a vote of confidence against the government or two thirds of the house agree to an earlier election.

If the PM called for an election could Labour realistically refuse to give him/her the two thirds majority? An opposition party refusing to fight an election?

Certainly possible. I'm sure the labour strategists must know that they're unelectable at the moment. If Labour did back an election, they could well be looking at an increased Tory majority. See what this labour MP SAYS;

I agree. But still, actually refusing to fight an election?

I know; it wouldn't look great for them. But Labour going into an election at the moment, given the shambles they're in, would be akin to turkeys voting for Christmas. They went into last year's election as favourites. Not only did they not win, the Tories managed to get an overall majority. Not a big one, but an improvement on the coalition they had prior to that. Do the policymakers at Labour HQ really want to risk making fools of themselves, especially if Corbyn is still the leader (unlikely)?

We've got an actual extremist group running the country now. It's called the Tories.
Agreed.

The most revolutionary right wing government in years. By stitching up the boundary changes they could continue for a generation.

Had a quick peek at my crystal ball earlier and saw the run up to the next election and beyond..

The left dominated Labour party will start a country wide deselection process to purge any anti Corbyn centrists.

Corbyn will win a leadership election and will think he can energise the 18-24 age group who think they've had their future stolen by the elderly. He would have to promise a second referendum or not to activate Article 50 but it won't work because he has an anti-Europe past and won't be believed. Plus, a full-on onslaught from the right-wing media will destroy any credibility he has in the eyes of the wider electorate . The Tories meanwhile will elect a white, privately educated posh person with full nasty party credentials.

Meanwhile, UKIP will hoover up the traditional Labour votes with Farage spouting off about independence and smashing the Westminster elite, and will get a cabinet seat in a right wing Brexit Tory/UKIP coalition government as a reward.

There will be calls for national unity as the great, and under educated, unwashed make it very clear to any non English that they don't belong here - in fact, I expect this to start tomorrow as English mothers at school gates, hurl foul mouthed abuse while advising foreign mothers that they've been voted out and should pack their bags.

And yet the Electorate still prefered them to Labour That says as much about the opposition as it does about the Tories and they are still likely to re-ekect Corbyn YCNMIU

He's probably snorting coke off a prozzies arse and totally oblivious to the shitstorm.
I assume this to be the case too, and he is probably 'tied up' at the moment. Dave watching and wanking while samantha does the hot candle wax and whips. Just another Sunday afternoon in downing st.
