Obsessed. But the more they're raging about this the louder I laugh :D

Seriously, I am liking the look of this CFG set-up, the more I see of it. A very clever side-step around Platini that I cannot see being regulated in the way that some of our more paranoid posters seem to think. Lampard, Villa, Xavi, Messi [?]. Could get funnier as time goes on. Well done to the ADUG and associates. A genius business move, in my humble view.

The minor fly in the ointment is that top - or should I say former top - players only bugger off to the US and other minor leagues when they are past it. So yes we can probably get fat Ronaldo to do a stint for us by these means, but a top-of-his-game Messi? No.

I doubt there is some master plan here, I think it is literally a case of Pellegrini feeling that Lampard can do a job.

No fly for me, mate. I wasn't suggesting that Messi was signing for NYC next season. With respect, the overview of this business model is the only salient issue. I was being flippant and apologise for any misunderstanding. Soriano's plan for global domination is, in my view, just about perfect. Wenger is jumping around as he knows that Arsenal will not do that with their current boardroom stand off and, hence, limited vision. My, is he jealous?

If you look at a dummies guide to winning titles, selling your best players is right there under "things you don't do".

Just saw the interview with him on the club website - thought he came across really, really well. I can see him being a great addition to the club in the course of the next six months, a proper pro.

Agreed. Not a bad fellow to have around the dressing room and seems to be keeping it all in perspective.

I really really hope they get knocked out of their CL qualifier. Then you could hear Wenger whining about how playing thursday nights is City's fault too

To all those City fans uncomfortable with this and any other way City might use our Financial power - realise this

This is WAR. The G14 clubs would happily bury City amidst a sea of UEFA red tape or any other sort of sea they can lay their hands on. Make no mistake City must fight with all means legally available.

We didn't start this WAR but my money is on us winning it !

bang on the money.
