A very clever side-step around Platini that I cannot see being regulated in the way that some of our more paranoid posters seem to think. Lampard, Villa, Xavi, Messi [?]. Could get funnier as time goes on. Well done to the ADUG and associates. A genius business move, in my humble view.

The minor fly in the ointment is that top - or should I say former top - players only bugger off to the US and other minor leagues when they are past it. So yes we can probably get fat Ronaldo to do a stint for us by these means, but a top-of-his-game Messi? No.

This is WAR. The G14 clubs would happily bury City amidst a sea of UEFA red tape or any other sort of sea they can lay their hands on. Make no mistake City must fight with all means legally available.
We didn't start this WAR but my money is on us winning it !
