Lancashire CCC

They may well have just tossed a coin to see who won, because the weather/coin toss decided the game in the end. At least Moore got man of the match, any other would have been a travesty, but no consolation for Lancs, who are basically out now.

I might be cynical, but did the Notts ground staff really need to put all those covers on ? The longer they took up putting them off, and the slower they took them off, meant Notts had an easy task in the end.

Haha that would have probably been a fairer option. lanks always seem to lose out when it comes to the D/L methid; just like the first game if the season but today i thought was so unfair!

T20

Am I right in thinking on the assumption all teams get 1 point today due to rain when Lancs play at Durham Sunday it will be more than likely the winner gets through as the second best third placed team ? The only possible constraint being that the run rate of Essex needs to be better if they win ..?

I may be off to the Riverside Sunday then.

I don't live in the NW anymore but I take it it is pissing it down ?

South Manchester it's peeing it down, so I assume it's the same down the road in Trafford.

We would still need Essex to lose , NR or Tie away at Hampshire, and Hampshire would already be through tonight if all games are lost. Hampshire are likely to need a win to ensure a home draw in he quarters though as best 2nd place.

I think there is a possibility of a 10/15 over game tonight if we are lucky.

Can't see it Corky. May well not be raining come kick off time but according to tweets from LCCC damage may already have been done. Three losses on the bounce facing a difficult Yorks side I may be tempted to take a point and go to the last game than lose later and be out completely.

im meant to be heading to old trafford tonight and the game aint cancelled yet. the forecast says that it will stop raining before the match, but it depends what the outfield looks like i suppose!

If it stops raining about 7pm as expected it is then up to the drainage to do its job.

It is always by far the biggest gate of the season and on Sky so it is very important a game takes place.

haha thats what i keep saying to my self! We have had our t20 season destroyed by the weather. we should have beaten Derbyshire first game of the season but D/L favoured them, and dont get me started on the game against Notts!
